We have been working on teaching Wright new tricks mostly because they are so entertaining to us. When he got his Halloween costume in the mail, I was telling him that a dinosaur says "Roar" and he immediately started growling. Now he growls all the time throughout the day because he is so proud of himself. Mimi taught him to clap his hands last month and recently has been working with him on throwing his hands in the air when you say "Yay, touchdown" and "Doing his motor" which means making a motor noise with his mouth. He had yet to really understand either of these until yesterday when we were out running errands. I said "Do Yay!" and all of a sudden it just clicked and he threw his hands in the air. I could not believe it! Then later I told him "Do your motor" and he started making that noise as best as he could (which to him is basically spitting). Now that he has learned these things and realizes how much praise he gets when he does them, he tends to do them all the time and laugh at himself as he is practicing. It is so amazing that he is getting to the age where he can actually interact with us. We love it!
