Buddies

Wright and Lauren are so cute together, I just had to share these pics. They look adorable next to each other cause they are the same size almost exaclty (love the crawling pic). They also really play together and interact more than typical at this age. Precious!

Family Day

We had a fun Saturday starting with cousin Luke's soccer game, then a family picnic at the park and lastly a night at the Harper's to watch the Georgia game. Too bad Georgia was embarrassed at home with a loss to Alabama.

Luke looked so cute in his Fireballs uniform.

2 of Luke's biggest fans enjoying the game.

Cute as can be in ALL of his Georgia gear.

"I am not sure about this big slide Mom."

"Let's race!"

Wright's first picnic lunch.

I love eating grass and sticks!

Mommy tells me we have to share this toy Lanie, but I am not so sure I am on board with that.

Climbing, Crawling and Making Noise

In the last week or so, Wright's favorite things to do are climb on top of everything, crawl under things and carry around one small toy with the purpose of hitting it against every other toy. We had the bassinet out this weekend because we had loaned it to a friend and Wright enjoyed crawling in it and playing. He usually carries his red phone around to use as a hammer, but it is temporarily missing, so this time he had a yellow block. He is so funny and all boy!

A Trip to Powerpact

Robin was in town today so Wright and I headed up to Powerpact to see her. He had a grand time there and Robin was a big hit. She had him smiling and laughing within minutes.

Nanny nanny boo boo...

I am not sure what this is, but I like it!

Say cheese.

Mommy and Me Monday

We went to the Arboretum today for Mommy and Me Mondays. They had tons of pumpkins that Wright loved looking at and we did a music class that was a lot of fun. Wright's friends Lauren and Emerson joined us. We will definitely go back a lot this fall!

Wright was crawling all over the place but he did not like how the grass felt on his knees, so instead he crawled like this.

The colored scarves were awesome.

Hi Mom...

Lauren and Emerson loved the scarves too - this was the best pic we could get of them together.

Playing with leaves provided lots of entertainment.

Cute boy!

Holy Spaghetti

Wright ate spaghetti for the first time tonight - priceless.

Office Chair Fun

After he continually crawled over curiously to the office chair today, I put Wright in it and started spinning him. He was literally screaming with joy. So, when dad got home, we had to show him the new amusement park ride right in our playroom.

Gettin' ready to spin...

Woo Hoo!

Cousins

Wright is fascinated by all big kids, especially his 9 big boy cousins. Here are some cute pics of Max playing with him a few days ago.

Mama's Boy?

Wright has started saying "Mama" a lot more, and I really think he might actually know what he is saying! On top of that, he has started crawling up to me, pulling himself up on my legs and wanting me to pick him up. Melt My Heart...

Also, today I was singing this silly football cheer that Brendan taught me. One part of it, you bark "Woof, woof, woof, woof." Wright was intrigued as I was chanting it, and when I finished he started going "woof, woof, woof". It was SO cute! He is really becoming a little parrot.

Hurricane Ike Comes to Dallas

After all of the hype about Hurricane Ike "slamming North Texas", we got about 1 inch of rain here today. The good thing is that it did make for a great day of football watching and we were very glad that our satellite did not go out so we could watch the Georgia game. And Wright took a great 3 hour nap because of the rain.

Swimming at the Croffords

We went over to Candace's house on Friday to swim and lay out since we could not go on our girls' trip to Dripping Springs due to Hurricane Ike.

Still mad about having to wear sunscreen.

First Day of "School"

Wright went to Mother's Day Out at CCDC today. He was so cute with his backpack that is bigger than him!

Wright's Tricks

We have been working on teaching Wright new tricks mostly because they are so entertaining to us. When he got his Halloween costume in the mail, I was telling him that a dinosaur says "Roar" and he immediately started growling. Now he growls all the time throughout the day because he is so proud of himself. Mimi taught him to clap his hands last month and recently has been working with him on throwing his hands in the air when you say "Yay, touchdown" and "Doing his motor" which means making a motor noise with his mouth. He had yet to really understand either of these until yesterday when we were out running errands. I said "Do Yay!" and all of a sudden it just clicked and he threw his hands in the air. I could not believe it! Then later I told him "Do your motor" and he started making that noise as best as he could (which to him is basically spitting). Now that he has learned these things and realizes how much praise he gets when he does them, he tends to do them all the time and laugh at himself as he is practicing. It is so amazing that he is getting to the age where he can actually interact with us. We love it!

Cowboys' Game with Friends

We had the Croffords and Harpers over for dinner and the Cowboy's game Sunday. Wright loved playing with Lanie as usual. Here are some pics of them sharing Cheerios during the game.

Hudson's 2nd Birthday

Wright was invited to his first friend's birthday part this past weekend. We got up early and drove to Fort Worth. He had a great time. They had a train that drove the kids up and down the street, donut holes, cupcakes and each kid got his own conductor hat. Wright probably enjoyed watching the big kids most of all. He also wore his new Georgia Bulldogs outfit for game day!
